My story: From digital dispersion to conscious calm

My story: From digital dispersion to conscious calm

How technology led me to mindfulness, and how mindfulness brought me back to technology

    🐵

    Who is the Restless Chimpanzee?

Someone who combines technological curiosity with the calm of mindfulness. After years in the professional digital world, I decided to pause and rethink how we use AI, how we relate to screens and how we sustain our well-being without dispersing ourselves.

This space is a workshop where I mix practical philosophy, digital minimalism and useful artificial intelligence tools for everyday life. There are no empty promises or magic recipes here, just concrete methods and sincere reflections to make better decisions, maintain focus and reinvent yourself without so much noise.

My proposal is clear: use technology consciously, apply mindfulness without mysticism and leverage AI as an ally, not as a distraction. It's about finding the balance between advancing professionally and taking care of your mental well-being, without falling into analysis paralysis or exhausting hyperproductivity.

    My project

Professional reinvention with mindfulness and digital hygiene

This project is not an isolated idea. It's the result of years working in intense digital environments and asking myself whether technology helps or disperses us. The answer depends on how we use it.

My goal is to create a space where practical spirituality, mindfulness and artificial intelligence meet without contradictions. A place where you can find concrete methods to protect your attention, make decisions calmly and use AI as an ally, not as a distraction.

I work from direct experience: I've tried methods, I've failed, I've adjusted and I share what really works. I don't sell magic solutions, but practical tools based on Zen philosophy, digital minimalism and AI applications that truly add value.

Here I share publications, tools and reflections that will help you sustain wellness habits, decide without paralysis and reinvent yourself with less fear and more method. All from honesty, without empty promises.

The origin: When digital success stopped making sense

I spent years working in high-intensity technological environments. I designed digital products, managed remote teams, optimized processes with automation tools. From the outside, everything seemed fine: good projects, satisfied clients, constant growth.

But inside, something didn't add up. It was increasingly difficult for me to concentrate. Simple decisions turned into marathons of indecision. I had 47 open browser tabs, 12 half-finished projects, and a constant feeling that I was busy but not moving forward.

The turning point came one random afternoon. I was in a video call, with another tab checking emails, another with Slack open, and another with an article I "had to read". At the end of the meeting, I couldn't remember what we had talked about. Not a single word.

"I wasn't using technology. Technology was using me."

    🤖

The paradox: Technology that disperses or technology that helps?

The short answer: it depends on how you use it. Technology, like any tool, amplifies your intention. If your intention is to disperse yourself, it will disperse you. If your intention is to focus, it will help you stay on course.

I started experimenting with mindfulness practices: 10 minutes of meditation a day, gratitude journal before bed, conscious pauses between tasks. At first, all this seemed incompatible with my digital life. But over time, I discovered they were complementary.

AI came into the picture when I decided to automate repetitive tasks to free up mental time. I used ChatGPT to summarize long articles, create email templates, generate initial ideas for projects. Not to replace my judgment, but to accelerate the mechanical part and dedicate more energy to what really mattered: thinking, deciding, creating.

"AI doesn't think for you. It gives you back time so you can think better."

    💡

My philosophy: Transparency, practicality and experimentation

    What this project IS

    • An experimental workshop where I share what works for me (and what doesn't)
    • A community of practice for those seeking balance between technology and well-being
    • A space for concrete methods, without magical promises or universal recipes
    • An invitation for you to experiment, measure results and adjust according to your context

    What this project is NOT

    • Magical self-help: I don't promise you'll change your life in 7 days
    • Techno-solutionism: AI won't solve your underlying problems
    • Rigid dogmas: There's no "one correct way" to do things here
    • Empty content: If I share something, it's because I've tried it myself
    🎓

My background: Technology, mindfulness and constant learning

    🖥️

    Professional background

Over 25 years in the digital world, from web development to product management and AI automation. I've worked with startups, corporations and as a freelancer, facing technical and human challenges in every project.

My experience spans system design, digital process optimization and consulting on emerging technology adoption.

My specialty: translating complex problems into simple and scalable solutions.

    🧘

    Mindfulness training

Meditation practitioner since 2018. I have completed advanced courses in MBTB (Mindfulness Based on Buddhist Tradition), with zen master Dokushô Villalba, at the "Luz Serena" temple, plus training in Vipassana meditation and practical Buddhist philosophy.

I'm not a monk or guru. Just someone who finds value in everyday mindfulness.

    🚀

    Where we're going: Constant evolution

This project is alive. In December 2025, I published my book 'Ahora es Mañana' (Now is Tomorrow), which condenses years of experimentation with mindfulness, AI, and digital wellbeing. The blog continues to grow with new tools and learnings.

📖Published book: Ahora es Mañana My first book combines practical philosophy, mindfulness, and conscious use of technology. Available on Amazon and in a signed edition with personalized dedication.

📋Coming soon: Custom GPTs for dispersion diagnosis, downloadable guides on practical prompt engineering, and a monthly review system to measure real progress (not vanity metrics).
